UPCOMING EVENTS
We are proper Trowmen tickled to be invited back to the glorious Shrewsbury Folk Festival for the third time as performers (we were there as punters and ran a small shanty singing workshop in 2021). The first line-up announcement has been made and tickets go on sale today, so go check out their website. On our mission to prove to the world that there's more than one sea shanty, we'll bring our usual glorious a cappella harmonies and general silliness to the event. See you there!
We sang at this small church last year as a threesome, and were blown away by it's glorious acoustics! We just seem to sing better without microphones and a PA. We actually did a warmup sing in the local pub before the gig, which went down well, so did again afterwards!! Small, local, charitable event, and we're back as a full-strength foursome! PLEASE lend your support and patronage.
After last year's inaugural sea shanty festival in Bristol, it's returning in spades! More groups (20+), more venues (7), more performances (50+) and perhaps even more ale will be drunk........ The Trowmen are delighted to return and support this local charity event run by volunteers, and hope you will come along in droves and spread the words for a fabulous musical day out in our nautical city :-).
A new event and location for us. (We love it when these requests come out of the blue!) So the Trowmen will be bringing some of their trademark shanty harmonies and silliness to Calne. Not seen us? You must!
